1. Winter sports style
It’s that time of year again, so prepare to wrap up warm. Quilted clothing was all over the catwalks, alongside oversize coats and faux fur boots. 2. Oversize frames
Oversize spectacles and sunglasses have been popular for a while now. In fact, the trend looks set to continue with fall-winter 2021-2022 collections featuring designs by Max Mara and Tom Ford covering half the face, while Gucci opted for thick frames. Even more extreme are the glasses by Dolce & Gabbana, which cover the whole face ‘protective mask style’. However, Dua Lipa and Lily-Rose Depp have made it much easier to embrace the trend by stepping out in oversize noughties-inspired eyewear.

3. Sixties renaissance
While the Seventies was a key trend this time last year, we’ve now moved on to the optimistic era of Sixties style for Fall-Winter 2021-2022. Miniskirts, A-line cuts and monochrome ensembles have all made a comeback on the catwalk… just look at Versace, Fashion East and Courrèges. Why not channel Swinging London down to your glasses for a casual, vintage feel? The 60s may be making a comeback, but 70s and 00s styles seem to be sticking around as well.

4. Sci-fi inspired
To make up for a lackluster year on Earth, designers from planet fashion are packing us off to space for Fall-Winter 2021-2022. Balenciaga made over the space suit, while Balmain came up with a metallic dress that could have been made for moonwalking! Right now, even eyewear is able to conjure up images of interplanetary travel, with designs that could easily have been in sci-fi films. Balenciaga and Acne Studios showed the most futuristic, alien-like designs of them all.

5. Bold logos
This season, the logos being featured on frames are particularly loud and proud. Dolce & Gabbana and Balmain have given them the most prominent position on the front of their shades; Fendi, Celine and Zadig & Voltaire have used them to adorn the arms of their designs, while Marine Serres has used them like jewels.

6. Party ready
Unsurprisingly, the urge to get down on the dancefloor and party into the early hours even extended to the catwalks. Glitter, rhinestones, sequins and party dresses were adapted for both day and night. Chanel, Dries Van Noten and Valentino really stood out for their flamboyant, sparkly outfits. 7. The color lilac
