The lightest new collection from Silhouette

The luxury Austrian brand brings a touch of lightness to the New Year with Blend, a new collection of pierced-lens glasses . The new designs are light as a feather with a minimalist design that’s full of timeless charm, from the oversized lenses to the square and butterfly designs. Their sporty spirit is refined further by the total absence of any visible screws, made possible by the pressure hinge system, while the temples are made from a combination of titanium and SPX+ making them both strong and flexible. It’s a calm and elegant collection that will go with any look, from the most discreet to the craziest.

Demetz’s glasses that are ready for action

Demetz has been supporting sportspeople since 1950 with its specialised frames that are adapted to all disciplines. This year, the label has announced a first adults collection, 5 years after launching Optique Kids. 60 models make up the collection, designed around 3 concepts: adventure, elegance and trendy style. So whatever you get up to, these designs will follow you in all your daily activities, equipped with the tried and tested features that their sports models are known for: technicality, comfort, lightness and robustness. Several of the designs reference motor sports like the hinges and the faces of some of the models, and city dwellers will appreciate their ergonometric design adapted to city life like the length of the temples which have been designed to fit easily inside a motorbike or bicycle helmet.

Kirk & Kirk’s unexpected collaboration

The glasses brand has had fun with their arty new collaboration. This time, it’s not the frame that they are reimagining but that essential accessory that all glasses wearers carry: the microfibre cloth. Sarah Arnett was the artist-designer chosen by Kirk & Kirk to use her expertise to transform the accessory into a fine work of art. Drawing on her years spent in Zimbabwe and India, she has mixed motifs and exotic influences for her design, a limited edition that is still available and comes presented in its own case. How better to transform the chore of cleaning glasses into a dream?

Lanvin eyewear’s collection that’s rich in history

The legendary couture house recently entrusted production of its eyewear to glasses-maker Marchon and we began to see the first designs in 2020 at the Lanvin shows. At the start of this year, Lanvin has revealed its new collection for Spring/Summer 2021, a series of designs infused with the rich history of the brand’s 130 years, all wrapped up with a touch of modernity. There are the motifs that pay tribute to the Arpège perfume and the symbol that represents the relationship between Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter in the 21 sunglasses and 20 spectacles of the collection which features architectural silhouettes, delicate details and reinterpreted classics.
